dont copy any part of the question in your answer. this is not your own work and therefore will be disregarded by the examiner and deducted from the word count. you can use individual words but be careful of using long chunks of the question text.
dont repeat yourself or the same ideas. this gives a bad impression and the examiner realises that it isnt adding to the content of your report.
if you are weak at english grammar, try to use short sentences. this allows you to control the grammar and the meaning of your writing much more easily and contributes to a better cohesion and coherence mark. its much easier to make things clear in a foreign language if you keep your sentences short!
as i just said, if you have finished the exam with time to spare, dont just sit there!! check what you have done. if you have time after the check, check again. and so on....
dont be irrelevant. although you can use your imagination to expand on your answer, if any part of your report is totally unrelated to the question and put in to just put up the word count, then the examiner will not take it into account and deduct it from the word count.
if you want to improve, theres no secret. practice. practice. practice. you wont get better sitting and doing nothing. even good english users need practice for the ielts exam. it could make all the difference between your getting the band that you need, and getting half a band less than you need and having to wait 3 months to do the exam again.

大家好，我是川大的大三学生，6月11日在成都考的雅思，最后成绩：总分7，听力7，阅读7，写作7，口语6，很高兴，10天，7分。一点都不牛，但对我来说已经相当不错了，我很满意啦：）
我总共计划了15天的全面复习，但中间有几天因为这样那样的事情而耽搁掉了，所以真正复习的时间只有10天。而在此之前我对雅思之知甚少，也完全没有心理准备说有一天会考雅思，但因为法国签证必须需要雅思成绩（我大四被交换去法国），没办法，逼上梁山了。
而在考雅思之前，我不得不承认我的英语水平很一般，甚至可以说比较差，四级第一次59，接下来一气之下就把四六级一起考了，四级75。5，六级69。考过一次bec中级，失败掉，只有d。不过在考雅思之前准备过一段时间toefl，水平有所提高。所以这次的雅思成绩对我来说已经相当满意了。
而在准备的阶段，我在3g下到了很多有用的资料，特别是听力机经，写作范文，口语机经等，对这次考试帮助相当大，所以我在拿到成绩后就想到来这里把自己的备考过程给大家分享一下，希望有那么一点点用处

先分为三项说吧：
听力：
这是我最头疼的地方，我bec的成绩里听力是weak：（而我在复习计划的前几天是听真题，做点分析，但做下来的效果很差，基本都是错20到15个，虽然天天在空闲的时候都挂着个mp3听真题和bbc，但真的进展很小。听力这玩意，确实不是一天两天的事情，是长时间积累的结果。所以在最后8天，我改变了策略，我在这里下了听力机经，发现其实版本并不多（没我想像的多，我想起码100来个version），而且每个section的很少有重复的，这就为牢固的记忆提供了保障，雅思英语《很高兴，10天，7分》。所以我用了7天，每天4个小时来背机经，然后最后一天把全部看了一遍，然后运气特别好，在考试的.时候正好遇到两个section（考的时候我都快笑出来了），而且另外两个部分我都听的不错，虽然最后一篇很有几个没听清楚。
建议：短期复习的朋友，在最后一段时间去背机经是很有用处的，因为听力这东西一定要经过长时间的锻炼（虽然背机经是一个很痛苦的过程），既然没有足够的时间，那就背机经当抱佛脚吧。
阅读：
阅读一直是我的强项，中国学生一般都是阅读很强哈，呵呵。在开始复习的前几天，我做了三套真题，分别错了9个，4个，3个，然后我就停下不做了，我想做真题主要是适应雅思考试的方式。接下来的日子，有空的话我就做做《雅思阅读真经》，但总共做了不到10篇。在最后一天做了一套真题，错了6个。考试的时候感觉还不错，但结果不是很理想，没有达到7。5的目标。
建议：1，即使是短期复习，也要尽力去适应雅思的方式，因为雅思很多是细节的题，所以要注意阅读的技巧（关于技巧，其他牛人已经说了很多了）
2，在最后复习阶段，一定要尽全力提高阅读速度（我也知道这不是说提高就提高的，但有这样的意识再加上一些对自己有帮助的方法，还是会有效果的）。我有个建议，大家在阅读的时候不要在心里默读，尽量做到一看到这个单词就反应过来它的意思，然后马上跳过；可以在复习的时候，每次做阅读的时候都这样训练。
写作：
写作我也一直不差，因为以前背过新概念的一些文章。雅思的作文其实想要提高也不是难事，我买了一本《雅思万能八分作文》，还不错，里面有很多句子值得借鉴；然后我看了一些从3g上下载的范文，又从里面挑了一些句子和表达；在最后一天的时候，把我挑的句子和表达都罗列在一起，大概也就50条左右，我背了一下，接着就计时练了一次，结果在规定时间内直接写超了，task1写了200多，task2写了350，当时把我吓了一跳，因为我怕考试的时候按这样的思路写这么多时间会不够。所以在考试的时候，我写的比较慢，控制好节奏，每句话都是想好了再下笔的，最后字数差不多。
建议：1，一定要看一定数目的
